Wednesday 7 October, 18:00-20:00, Welcome Reception in Stadhuis Leuven

The Mayor of Leuven, Mr. Louis Tobback, will welcome our delegation in the Stadhuis (Town Hall). The Mayor's address is followed by a reception courtesy of the City Council.
Town Hall is about 15 minutes walking from Faculty Club, passing by the Groot Begijnhof (Grand Beguinage) and Oude Markt (Old Market).

After the reception, the city centre offers plenty of options for dinner at your own leisure.

Thursday 8 October 2009, 16:30-23:00, Guided Tour and Dinner in Palm Beer Breweries, Steenhuffel

A trip will be held at Palm (Beer) Breweries and dinner in nearby castle 'Diepensteyn'.

16:30-17:30 -- Bus Departure from Faculty Club, Leuven to Palm Breweries, Steenhuffel
18:00-19:30 -- Guided tour of Palm Breweries
19:30-20:00 -- Guided tour of Diepensteyn Castle Stud Farm (home to famous Belgian draught horses)
20:00-22:30 -- Dinner in Diepensteyn Castle
22:30-23:00 -- Buses back to Leuven.
